1. Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay

 The Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay is home to a number of beautiful sea creatures, from the Cornish coasts to the exotic seas! Come face-to-face with freshwater turtles, pufferfish and even reef sharks! The aquarium has 40 naturally-themed habitats and visitors have the opportunity to learn all about the sea creatures at the attraction. Stroll through the underwater tunnel and gaze in awe at the amazing ocean display.

2. Dairyland Farm World, Newquay

Dairyland is a fantastic attraction to visit for families, no matter what the weather! They have a large indoor play area for children of all ages, including a soft play area, ball pool and demon drop slides. They have farm animals and a ‘pet a pet’ area at the attraction and you even have the opportunity to bottle feed some of the young animals! There are mini tractors to ride for small children and outside trampolines, which are great to release some steam!

3. Eden Project, St Austell

The Eden Project is a fantastic attraction for families, with its spectacular biomes, exciting educational workshops for children and world-class sculptures and artwork. Eden is world-famous and is great for a fun-filled day out! Explore the steamy rainforest of the world’s largest greenhouse and learn about the plants that live there. It’s truly mesmerising! They also have beautiful outdoor gardens, which benefit from the warm climate in Cornwall. See if you can spot the giant bee that’s located outside! Enjoy the mild climate of the Mediterranean Biome and discover the variety of Mediterranean, South African, Californian and Western Australian plants.

4. Camel Creek, Wadebridge 

Camel Creek is a brilliant attraction for families with children of all ages! They have lots of rides across the park, big and small, so you’ll find something to do to entertain children whether they’re thrill seekers or like a soft play area. There really is something for everyone! Prepare to get soaked down the rapid 20ft drop on Thunder Falls with a pool of water at the bottom! Ride around the vintage Kiddies Carousel, or if you’d prefer, gently trot around the pony arena on one of the attraction’s ponies.

5. Jubilee Pool, Penzance

Have a splashing time at the UK’s largest art deco seawater lido in Penzance! It’s great for the whole family, with three pools: the main pool for confident swimmers, a learner pool and a geothermal pool! The main pool depths range from approximately 1.2 metres to 2.25 metres, depending on the tides. The learner pool is approximately 0.6 metres deep and the geothermal heated pool depth ranges from approximately 0.85 metres to 1.35 metres. It’s great for a family day out, with seating areas around the pool for when you’re not swimming, as well as a café with delicious food to fill your boots after you’ve finished swimming!

6. Cornwall Gold, Redruth

Learn about the history of mining at Cornwall Gold, an attraction that is open all year round to visitors. Discover the history of Cornwall’s last working Victorian tin mill at the Tolgus Mill. For children, there is plenty to do, whatever the weather! Paint your own pottery at Create & Paint or build your own teddy bear at the Bear Works! Get searching for gold at the Tolgus Stream Panning and see if you’ll win big! End the day with a round of golf with the family on the attractions Krazy Gold course.

7. National Maritime Museum, Falmouth

Go on a voyage of discovery with the family at the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth. With a vast number of different boats in the museum, all with their own story to tell and ready for you to discover their heritage. There is a zone dedicated to celebrating the RNLI, with ride on vehicles, a dressing-up area and information about how to keep safe at sea. Go underwater and look out to the harbour in the Tidal Zone without having to get wet! There are two large windows looking out to the harbour, where you can even see fish at high tide! For the children, there’s the Treasure Island Play Zone, where they can dress up as pirates and let off some steam! It’s a great day out for the whole family!

8.Segway Bude, Bude

Enjoy a ‘wheelie’ fun day out at Segway Bude! With family friendly trails, enjoy an outdoor adventure with the kids at this North Cornwall attraction. They have no age restrictions, but riders must be between 5 stone – 22 stone and be over 4ft to be able to safely reach the handle bars of the Segway. Sessions are kept to small groups, so families can enjoy quality time with one another and make fun memories on the Segway trails.

9. Flambards, Helston

Flambards offers a fun filled family day out for the whole family. They have a large selection of outdoor rides and indoor attractions for people of all ages. Ride along the Hornet Rollercoaster and cool down on the Colorado River log flume. For younger children, enjoy Ferdi’s Funland softplay!
