The space

The bespoke off-grid bar and accommodation experience is nestled in a hidden, North Cornwall haven. For a limited time, guests can book to stay and sleep in their very own off-grid bar, pre-stocked with beer. Hidden amidst the willow groves, expect to trek to this secluded site and enjoy peaceful downtime.

Kudhva – Your Off-Grid Glamping Hideaway

Based a mile inland from Trebarwith Strand (one of the most impressive beaches in North Cornwall), Kudhva is set in a 45-acre disused quarry with 180° views of the coastline.

Kudhva (Cornish for hide-out) is an off-grid glampsite and event location with a difference. Left untouched, the site has become home to willow groves, gorse bushes and wild flowers; existing in harmony with mountainous slate stacks. The quarry pit is now a hidden lake fed by a waterfall with its own floating pontoon and the southern edge of the Kudhva is home to a stone walled wild swimming reservoir.

Kudhva allows you to immerse yourself in the rugged Cornish landscape, the slate piles frame the sea views out towards the bay of Trebarwith Strand and its distinctive Gull Rock.

As a totally off-grid site, the dream was to create a space which takes you away from the everyday, celebrates the sustainable, encourages you to reignite your creative processes and inspires a passive learning movement.

The cabin is the world’s first fully off-grid and carbon neutral bar powered by hydro and solar sources. The building has been designed as a bespoke project to enhance its natural setting and create the perfect atmosphere of hygge.

Guest access

When booking you get sole use of the cabin as well as shared use of the Kudhva site.

The sleeping area of the cabin holds six beds, two bunks and two pull-out beds, with fresh bedding & towels provided on your arrival. There is an off-grid toilet a stone’s throw from the cabin & the showers and shared kitchen located at the main campsite, approximately 5-10 minutes’ walk.
