Readymoney Cove

A beautifully magical place set in the picturesque Ready Money Cove is a Beach of the same name.

Readymoney Cove Beach is a small and very clean sandy beach with sheltered waters that are generally safe for bathing as long as you do not venture out too far.

With Fowey Harbour to one side and St catherines Castle to the other this really is a beautiful setting for a family day out.

There are some rock pool to be explored on the beach and the sand is always present unless you catch a spring tide.

St Catherines castle is a small fort commissioned by Henry VIII late in 1530 and makes for some lovely photos.

Just above the cove lies the former coach house residence of Daphne du Maurier whom lived here during the second world war.

There are a lot of historical beauties surrounding this cove and it is also situated along the route of the SouthWest Coastal Path.

Toilets: Yes there are toilets very close to the beach.

Facilities: Nearest facilities are in Fowey

Safety: Lifeguards are not in operation on this beach.

Dogs: Dogs are not allowed on this between Easter and October.

Parking: There is a medium sized pay and display car park at Readymoney.

Access: There is a steep path down to the beach.
