Porthcurnick Beach
Porthcurnick Beach is a lovely and quite quiet beach due to it’s location, but beautiful and perfect for a family day out.
It is fairly sheltered and the South west coast Path runs to and from it. (you can walk to neighbouring portscatho which is a lovely little village)
The waters here can have some nasty rip currents so it is advisable to not swim out too far. This beach has plenty of rock pools to explore at low tide and you may be lucky enough to spot some basking sharks just off the shore.
It is a lovely beach for people who want to get away from it all and soak up some Cornish beauty.
Toilets: Yes in the summer months, if not there are toilets at Portscatho
Facilities: A summer season shop
Safety: Lifeguards are not in operation on this beach.
Dogs: Dogs are allowed on the beach all year but there are no doggy bins to place mess in.
Parking:There is a small amount of parking near to the beach but if all this has gone the car park at portscatho is a five minute walk.
Access: There is a slope to the north end of this beach.
