Mawgan Porth Beach

Mawgan Porth Beach is a large North facing beach which is approximately 5 miles from Newquay.

This beach is sheltered by the dramatic cliffs that surround it, which are a beautiful haven for wildlife. They also boast fabulous views from the top.

Mawgan Porth has a huge expanse of beautiful sands and at low tide there is plenty to explore with rock pools and caves becoming unhidden. There is a stream that runs down one side which is perfect for the little ones to splash around in.

Surfing can be quite popular on this beach due to being open to atlantic swells but bathing is generally safe and there will always be enough room for everyone.

You can walk on the coast path from Mawgan Porth to Bedruthan Steps which is a magically beautiful place and certainly makes a great picture for the holiday album.

All in all this is a great place to take the family for a fun day out at the seaside.
