Miss Trimble’s Cottage is named after the first ever resident Elizabeth Trimble who lived here in the 1850’s.
It’s the wing of Dene Lodge House, a beautiful Victorian “Gentleman’s residence” in the parish of Morwenstow. Just a few minutes from the Coast Path it is fabulously placed for exploring this stunning area. Endless walks and gorgeous beaches are all very close; so dogs are welcome to join you on your holidays.
Miss Trimble’s is a perfect place to relax and unwind; once you’ve done that there are so many lovely places nearby to explore.
The cottage is fully equipped and we live on site in case there is anything we haven’t thought of that you need.
You have your own kitchen and amazing bathroom with a sumptuous freestanding bath and a separate shower as well as a beautiful bedroom and living room with open fire. The living room also has a double sofa bed for extra guests.
As well as the house you are welcome to enjoy the extensive gardens and relax in the Hobbit House!
We have recently installed a wood fired hot tub which guests are welcome to use for a £10 contribution to firewood. If you want to use it please let us know and we’ll get it ready as it takes a few hours to fill and heat up!
