Celebrate St Piran’s Day!

What better time to visit Cornwall than during the St Piran’s Day celebrations! Each year, the Patron Saint of Cornwall is celebrated across the county. A number of towns and villages across the county celebrate with parades and the distinctive black and white flag takes pride of place.

The flag of Saint Piran is recognised as the Cornish flag, with a black background and a white cross in the middle. The flag is said to represent the discovery of tin in Cornwall, with the white metal coming from the black Cornish rocks.
