A Guide to the Best Cornish Cider Farms | Holidays in Cornwall

The UK has the highest consumption and production of cider in the world, with UK cider making up around 40% of the global market. Cider has many variations of flavours and appearance, so it can be difficult to pinpoint what makes Cornish cider so unique! Discover some of our favourite Cornish ciders and learn all about the processes of a working Cornish cider farm, in our guide to the best cider farms in Cornwall.

Healeys Cyder Farm

One of the best things to do when in Cornwall is to visit Healey’s Cyder Farm. There’s lots to do and learn at this family run farm, which is the largest independent cyder maker in Cornwall, located in Penhallow, near Truro. Take a tractor ride through the orchards and follow the journey from the field, to production, to bottle.

There is a wide selection of beverages, jams, preserves and sauces that the farm produces. The most popular beverages that Healey’s produces are their range of Rattler cyders. These come in a range of flavours, from original apple, to pear and berry. Over the last few years, the Healey’s family have introduced new Rattler flavours. These include delicious pineapple, peach, and strawberry and lime. Not only can you purchase these goods at the farm, they also have a dedicated sampling shop and jam kitchen to try out their delicious products. Enjoy your favourite Healey’s beverage, alongside a delicious pasty in their Old Bottlery Restaurant.
