Pubs and Restaurants in Cornwall opening in April | 2021

Who else can’t wait for the long-awaited re-opening of Cornwall’s pubs and restaurants? Following the latest government guidance, pubs and restaurants with outdoor seating are allowed to reopen on Monday 12thApril 2021. Such venues will be allowed to serve customers in outdoor seating areas from this date. We’ve narrowed down some of our favourite pubs and restaurants in Cornwall with outdoor seating areas that will be opening in April 2021.

 

The Watering Hole, Perranporth

The Watering Hole in Perranporth is set to open on Monday 12thApril, 2021! The famous bar on the beach has ample socially distanced tables outdoors to cater for hundreds of customers. Tables are available on a first come first serve basis. There are a limited number of tables that are under cover. The majority of the tables at The Watering Hole are located on the sand directly in front of the bar. It’s advised to dress accordingly, as depending on the weather and the direction of the wind, it can get quite chilly!

Cornish Pubs April 2021

The Working Boat, Falmouth

The Working Boat is a waterfront pub located in Falmouth. The popular harbourside pub will be reopening on 12thApril following the latest government guidance. Careful planning and consideration has gone into the re-opening to ensure customers are safe. The pub will even have the town’s largest covered outdoor licenced seating space, the “mar-quay on the sea”! No matter what the weather, The Working Boat will be open from 10am to 10pm for al fresco dining, serving delicious meals, made with locally sourced produce.

Heron Inn, Malpas

The Heron Inn, is located in Malpas, on the outskirts of Truro. The riverside gastropub serves delicious locally sourced and seasonal foods, with beautiful views overlooking the Truro and Tresillian rivers. It will be opening its doors on 12thApril 2021 for outdoor dining, with pre-booking highly recommended. The pre-bookable outside terrace tables will be undercover. The Heron Inn has installed a new awning that is retractable that covers their comfy new outdoor furniture. A new heating system has also been installed, perfect for chilly April evenings! The pub will also be closing its car park to accommodate for more outdoor seating to cater to its customers. These tables are available on a first-come-first serve basis.

The London Inn, Padstow

Sitauted in the heart of Padstow, the London Inn is a family run restaurant that serves delicious meals and local beverages. The outdoor terrace will be reopening on Monday 12thApril and the inn will be opening for takeaway food also. The London Inn will not be operating a booking system and outdoor seating will be available on a first come first serve basis. The restaurant have advised that their opening hours may be affected depending on the weather conditions, so do be sure to check their social media accounts for updates before arriving. Fistral Beach Bar, Newquay

Overlooking the famous Fistral beach, the Fistral Beach Bar is set to open on 12thApril, in line with the current government guidance. The bar will be serving a reduced breakfast and main menu, which can be found here. The bar has an extensive decking area with stunning views of the North Cornish coastline. There is plenty of outdoor seating at the Fistral Beach Bar, which is available on a first come first serve basis. The tables are not undercover, so do dress according the wonderful Cornish weather!

Searoom, St Ives

If seafood is your thing, you’ll be delighted to hear that the Searoom in St Ives is soon reopening! it will be opening on 12thApril 2021 for outdoor dining. The Searoom is located on the harbour front in sunny St Ives, serving delicious seafood. Pre-booking is advised, as the Searoom has limited outdoor space. As their outdoor seating area is not covered, they have advised that the weather may affect whether bookings are able to go ahead. From 17th May, you will be able to book to sit indoors too.
